My Father flew C124 transport aircraft into Berlin during the 1950s, during the war he flew B 24 bombers to Berlin but with a different cargo. He told me thru-out the time he flew there the Russians maintained a false navigation beacon on their side of Berlin trying to cause the Western aircraft to stray outside the air corridors where they could be attacked or harassed,
