Hi, great haircut. Probably the most authentic I have seen in a long while, hope you are using a period product like Brylcreem to keep it under control especially when the top is longer.

This thread has proven to be extaordinarily durable and popular :D ...so much so that I've posted a question for some of you passionate posters on another thread:

Your views on what keeps you so involved would be appreciated.

Here are two examples of period haircuts with a little less thinning
on the sides:

These represent another 40s hairstyle for both men and women, fingerwaves. Not too hard to do once you've got the product in your hair. There were other wilder examples posted but I think these represent what fingerwaves should look like.

This sure is an old thread lol, I just felt like contributing something; this is what I plan on getting next. My hair is only about a half inch long so I have a LONG ways to go. I do not know a lot about cutting hair, so would barbers know how to give me this look with only this picture as reference? and if not how would I describe it to them?

What site had this pic and are there others? All I can make out is Der haarschnitt and I'm guessing it's a before and after , but not much of a lead there.

Can't remember where I found this. Front hair used to be quite long in some cases and was combed nicely to the top.
