Do you have a collection of women's hairstyles, from the same era (Life in the Third Reich)?

While I don't have access to specific images, the hairstyles of German men during the Third Reich often reflected a clean and neat appearance. Many officers and officials maintained shorter, well-groomed styles, often parted to the side or slicked back. While I can't provide images without headgear, researching historical archives or books on the era may offer detailed insights into the hair styles you're interested in.

Hello De Ruyter,

Thank you for your inquiry. Exploring historical men's hairstyles can be a fascinating journey. While I don't have specific photos to share, I'd like to offer some suggestions on where you might find the information you're seeking:

Archives and Historical Collections:
Explore archives and historical collections that specialize in imagery from the Third Reich era. Museums, libraries, and online repositories may house photographs that capture the day-to-day appearance of German officers, soldiers, and party functionaries without headgear.

Historical Photography Websites:
Websites dedicated to historical photography and military history may also have curated collections from the specified time period. Consider checking platforms that focus on preserving and sharing images from the past.

Military History Forums:
Engaging with military history forums or communities might connect you with enthusiasts or historians who have access to or knowledge of relevant photo collections. Members of these communities often share valuable resources and insights.

Books and Publications:
Look for books or publications that delve into the uniforms, appearance, and daily life of individuals during the Third Reich era. Some publications include detailed photographs and descriptions of the time's fashion and grooming trends.

Remember to approach this topic with sensitivity, recognizing the historical context and the implications associated with the Third Reich era. If anyone in the community has specific resources or suggestions for De Ruyter, please feel free to contribute to the discussion.

Hi,

Adding a bit of information, prisoners taken aboard Admiral Scheer in 1941 commented on the sailors use of tonics on their hair.
Seborin was one popular brand, and is still available today.

Cheers,
