I suppose it is a twin (ISTM) mount taken from an AFV.
However amongst the AFV listed here:
http://www-solar.mcs.st-and.ac.uk/~aaron/finAFV.html
I can't find a candidate.

It could be taken not from Finnish (Axis country of WWII) but from Soviet AFV probably.....
I still have no ideas from what AFV weapon this upper detail was..............

Interesting question, Juha!

As the pic quality is as low as it is, I think your answer is close enough.
It's (as BP posted) a Soviet experimental mg mount, using AFAIK "home made" carriage and gun mantlet from a BT-2 tank
I'm very sorry that I can't give the exact pic source, as I have lost it.
However it should be somewhere here: http://www.klad.hobby.ru/milarch.htm

Hi guys:
I have not had a clue on most of the last two weeks challenges but I check it every day.
Fun to see a few of us sneak on even on the Easter Holiday which here started for us five minutes ago when all the guests arrived for dinner.
And....my wife is yelling at me this very second to get off the bloody computer.

Happy Easter to all
bill

Fool me. When you wrote "And the next question, from the Republic of Finland" I understood you were referring to the equipment, hence I searched only amongst that list of Finnish vehicles.

New plane.

Hmm...Interesting, Juha! But as there are no twin MGs on the photo just only mantelet - it was impossible to understand what exactly it is (at least for me :) )

Thanks, Bill! Happy Easter to you, your family and friends! Happy Easter to all forum members!

After Juha's question I have a storm in my brain , need to have a rest.

"Vultee" probably more correct than "Convair" (at the time officially unregistered) in addition to being the first answer.

I've found the link to Juha's photo - http://www.klad.hobby.ru/military_rus1_files/stanok.jpg
That was home-made in blockade Leningrad twin 7.62mm DT mantelet from BT-2 tank on steel carriage.
