Hi

Dingo (Aussie built) Scout Car.
245 of these light armoured cars were built in Australia from February 1942 by the Ford Motor Company using Marmon-Herrington four wheel drive components. They were issued to units of the 1st Australian Armoured Division from mid 1942, but due to their weight were not very successful off-road, and were replaced by the Canadian Lynx armoured car as they became available in 1944.
Quote from Keith Webb's Old CMP site. (Did some ID's for him a while back. )

regards
A :)

Hi edward

It's not that it wasn't a good question but rather you chose a photo of a piece of kit I had fore-knowledge of, is all.

What type of ship is this? (IE Which Class)

regards
A :)

Mr Pastore

No need to apologize, it doesn't become you.

Alas, your description fits very well a great number of us (it fits me, to begin with).

Hint #1: it is a very close relative of a much more famous 4-wheeled vehicle.

Correct Juha. According to Vanderveen, "Willys MT-TUG T24". There was also a very similar T14 with a 37mm ATG.

To you.

Thanks Davide,

At first I didn't even try to find out the correct type. Then I made few google search with diffent combinations of "Willys", "Jeep", "patrol" etc.
With no luck.
I was about to throw the towel to the ring, when I remembered an old phrase: Keep It Simple, Stupid
Then I made a Google pic search with 6x6 car...and ...Voilà, there it was at the first page :)

Has these been here yet? Name another or both for a bonus.

Regards, Juha

I don't recognize the gentleman or the uniform he is wearing, but the planes look suspiciously Polish to me. I would be tempted to say that they are PZL models except that they lack the distinctive gull wings. *sigh*

Michael,

Sorry, not PZL's but geographically a very good guess :)
The plane in question (and of course the designer) are from a neighbouring state of Poland.

The designer was Antanas Gustaitis (chief engineer of Kaunas Air Workshop). Planes were Lithuanian ANBO IV (in front of the photo) - that was a prototype with Wasp C 450 hp engine, and ANBO 41 (with Bristol Pegasus II engine, 800 hp).

PS Your photos, Juha - http://www.odkrywca.pl/forum_pics/picsf ... ewskie.jpg (me seems these are ANBO reconnaissance bombers in Soviet Lithuanian squadron, destroyed by German aviation during the first days of the war with USSR) and http://www.lam.lt/istorija/karo_aviacij ... ustait.jpg (brigadier-general engineer A. Gustaitis, 1898-1941)
