Hitlers Last Appearance for the cameras
Re: Hitlers Last Appearance for the cameras
On March 19th (sorry scanner not working) he issued an order to all military commanders--his official "answer" to
Speer's last memorandum. In this so-called "Nero Order" Hitler ordered that all military communications, signals,
industrial and supply installations as well as ancillary works within the Reich which might be of use in any way to the enemy immediately or in the foreseeable future were to be destroyed.

Does this in any way help the question?

Looks like Hermann Fegelein behind Hitler, and Wilhelm Keitel behind Göring
Re: Hitlers Last Appearance for the cameras
Bundesarchiv pictures have mostly incorrect dates. It is not 1945, but 1944.FranzJ wrote:

Re: Hitlers Last Appearance for the cameras
Sorry, my attachments aren't working. It's just that I have a picture taken from Blogspot which appears to show SS officers carrying out what appears to be a body in a carpet. On the left is what appears to be an entrance to a bunker with people standing there.
I found it searching google images under "Last Ever Photo of Hitler." I'm not speculating but it is interesting.

Hi, how do you know that it was taken in 1944?Bundesarchiv pictures have mostly incorrect dates. It is not 1945, but 1944.
Re: Hitlers Last Appearance for the cameras
Because it was Hitler's birthday: 20 April 1944. Look for pictures in Google/Bildarchiv. There is a video in youtube.AlifRafikKhan wrote:Hi, how do you know that it was taken in 1944?Bundesarchiv pictures have mostly incorrect dates. It is not 1945, but 1944.

I couldn't find this picture. Can you provide a link, please.
I hope it is not a scene from a movie....

Re: Hitlers Last Appearance for the cameras
I just saw the German TV series "Geheimnisvoll Orte - Reichskanzlei" (Secret places - Reichskanzlei). While an interview with Christian Neugebauer (maker of the III. Reich digital architcture DVD series) he pointed out, that it´s quite likely that the last pictures of Hitler (and Julius Schaub) are made in the "Festsaal/Wintergarten/Dining Room" of the old Reichskanzlei (see pictures).

Hi
Fascinating Topic that has gone on so long here. I just wanted to mention that if you go to google earth, and slide the timeline back to 3/45 over berlin, you can look down on this area, and if you look at the EXACT date that google posts for this aerial it is 3/20/45
No idea if thats accurate but thought it was interesting
