Yep, it is OM 3BOD too. I dare to guess this picture was taken little later than your previous one and it is the same convoy (or only pair of trucks it is?). The place is the same: Zara/Zadar with the famous Porta terraferma on the background; I also dare to guess your previous OM 3BOD, with number plate RoEto-79118, is the second truck here: it is with tilt too and it seems the tailgate is down too.

Hi Bert,
I've seen many ugly trucks of Benelux origin but this one is by far one of the ugliest. However, despite all efforts of the unknown Dutch or Belgian coachbuilder a 1940 Chevrolet bonnet is still recognizable, most probably the chassis is WA, if judging from the wheelbase.

Come on, Max. Thanks for that but it was only guess. The second truck could be else and the two pictures might have been shot in different time. The only certain thing here is the background.

The radiator badge is a match as is the headlight and road horns mounting.

This is really a bit out of my area, but it certainly looks a lot like this Krupp found on Holger's site.

What bothers me is that Sturm's appears to show a slightly angled radiator, though perhaps that is just the mask.

Hi Sturm 78,

excuse me, please, for my delay. To the Krupp truck: it has a new cabin and a new front of the motor hood. So it is a truck from the year 1938. There are four possibilities: type L 3,5 M 242 and LD 3,5 M 222 (3 1/2 - tonner) or type L 4 M 262 and LD 4 M 232 (4-tonner). I think it is a 3 1/2 - tonner. Here a drawing out of the "Autotypenbuch - Typentafeln der Deutschen Kraftfahrzeugindustrie 1938".
