Re: a question about an armored car
Hi guest. Your image is reversed, have a look at the license plate.
Several sites has it identified as a Reichswehr dummy tank based on the Adler Standard 6. Link to an other image of a dummy with front cover/armor removed

Prosper Vandenbroucke and Waleed Y. Majeed thanks for the reply and information
by the way it writes tankwagen but it doesn't have to do with a tank since it is an armored car (panzerwagen)
it seems to be a rarity and the front of the hull reminds of a cat

Re: a question about an armored car
It’s not as much what it is but more what it’s supposed to be. In this case a “tank” for training purpose.

Re: a question about an armored car
Hi guest,
this vehicle was built from 1930 until 1932 (source: "Kraftfahrzeuge und Panzer der Reichswehr, Wehrmacht und Bundeswehr ab 1900" by Werner Oswald).
B.t.w. the pic is the wrong way around.
And here another pic of this vehicle (RW - 3135). Interesting, that it was forbidden for boys 5 years or older to throw rocks at this contraption at any range (source: "Militärfahrzeuge of the Wehrmacht" by Kurt Rieger and Uwe Feist).
Regards
Bert

@SIS 5
"Interesting, that it was forbidden for boys 5 years or older to throw rocks at this contraption at any range" "interesting"? because it didn't had any real armor you mean

Guest, there’s lots more on this link, including many more of the “panzerattrappen aus blech” in question.

Re: a question about an armored car
aerodynamically speaking it seems to be far ahead of its era with flushed headlights to the hull

Re: a question about an armored car
Cat or owl..? Not that far ahead of its time. Have a look at the few year later Adler model 2,5 Liter/“Typ 10” or earlier Steyr 50/“Steyr Baby” and probably a few more for that matter.
