Hi Bert,
Thanks very much. It appears smaller than the DER, correct? Very nice picture.
Cheers,
Max

Good afternoon. I am from Russia and I write on this forum through a translator and therefore I apologize for my English. Many thanks to the author and other participants in the photo. I have an increased interest in Todt's organization, especially about the work of this organization in the territory of East Prussia. If there are more photos of employees FROM next to various construction equipment. These can be cranes, air compressors, diesel generators, concrete mixers, drilling rigs and other equipment. Bulldozers, excavators, transport platforms. In general, everything that can be used in construction work both on the surface and underground.

Hi otis68,

no need to apologize. The English translator is really good.
It is very difficult to get pics of the Organisation Todt in the territory of East Prussia at the end of the war.
I can only tell You, that the Front-Regiment z.b.V. 115 of the Organisation Todt was involved in the expansion of the Heilsberg Triangle. This was a fortified position for the protection of East Prussia. The fortification belt ran from the Curonian Lagoon (Kurische Nehrung = Курьский залив) west of the river Deime (река Дейма) in a southerly direction to Tapiau (Гвардейск), further west of Bartoszyce (Bartenstein = Бартошице) and then further north of Lidzbark Warminski (Heilsberg = Лидзбарк-Варминский) and west of Braniewo (Braunsberg = Бранево) to the banks of the Zalew Wislawy (Frisches Haff = Висланский залив).
Since the eastern end of this triangle lay north of Heilsberg, this fortification was given the name "Heilsberger Dreieck" (Heilsberg Triangle). At the end of the war, however, this fortification was not a major obstacle to the advance of the Red Army (source: www.die-feldpost-2-weltkrieg.org).
If You want some pics of construction equipment, I can post them, but they are from the so-called "Atlantikwall".

Here two pics of the same vehicle of the Organisation Todt (source: https://digit.wdr.de).

Regards

Bert

Hi otis 63,

Here some more pics of the construction equipment used by the Organisation Todt:
the first pic with cranes and an excavator Ithink. It is a pity that the pics don´t show us a total view to a crane or the excavator;
the second pic with a drilling rig. I´m not sure if the men belong to the organisation Todt;
third and fourth pics with tipper wagons.

I hope the pictures are interesting for You.

Regards

Bert

SIS5 thank you very much. It helps my search a lot. Now I have a photo that confirms that Toda's employees worked underground. Looking at the photos from the plane over Konigsberg, I found narrow-gauge railways and concrete mixers. The key question for me was who works on this equipment. Toda employees or prisoners of war. I understand that there is no definite answer. But knowing that the prisoners often sabotaged the work (breaking equipment) and realizing that the German industry could not afford to make highly specialized equipment (for example, drilling rigs and drills themselves) then I admit that Toda's employees worked with the "valuable equipment" after all. And the prisoners were engaged only in transferring materials and the like.
