WWII tanks is meant here, obviously, not post-war.

Anyone know of any and where they are?

Hello Tim!

Wehrtechnische Sammlung Koblenz has many running tanks. They show them on a yearly museumsnight. Its great seeing a Panther moving.

Go to http://www.jagdtiger.de and download the movies!

Hi, in service, meaning, used by armed forces, I think the last ones were used by Syrian forces in 1967, during the 6 day war, at Golan Heights. After that, Israle captured and displayed one or two at a museum. Syrians had PzKpfW IV and StuG III.
I know French had some Panthers and Bergepanthers.

Yes, In Saumur (France) they have a running & driving Tiger II, they show it driving around once a year. Also they have other WWII tanks in driving condition.
But most running equipment is in privat collections, specially in the UK there are severall and Germany has some collectors.

With kind regards, Benno

The Patton Museum has the only Panther II and it is in running order along with a Jagdpanzer IV, a Hetzer, and a few other Germna vehicles.

Here at Finland, at Parola Tank museum, there are at least one Stug III, T-34/85(truly a wartime one, not post-war prod.) and Landswerk Anti AA-tank. Also some variants of Russian T-26/Vickers.
I was lucky to get a ride in the Stug and T-34, while doing my "work-practise" for school almost ten years ago. Wish I had those adrenalin-flows again someday...
