Hi Max,

excellent! Maybe it was too easy for such experts like You. Indeed it is a Krupp L 2 H 143 of the Luftwaffe, used as a tractor for the 20mm AA gun. Here a pic of this vehicle (Kfz. 81).
Please go on with the quiz!

Best regards

Bert

Hi Max,

that´s really a good question. I would like to know what is the reason for that.
Thanks for the hint. It could be an Austrian Steyr type 220.

Best regards

Bert

Hi Max,

thanks a lot!
Here is my new question: who knows the company, which produced such a vehicle?

Best regards

Bert

Hi Bert,
I know it is a Kaelble but the type is a little more difficult. Maybe a Z 6 G 110 or 125?

Max

Hi Max,

thank You very much for Your reply. Very good, Your answer is correct. It is a Kaelble vehicle. The question about the exact ID would have been too difficult. The ID of this vehicle is to find in the book "Kaelble Lastkraftwagen und Zugmaschinen" by Joachim Wahl & Alexander Luig: it is a S 6 G 110. The letter "S" indicates "Sattelschlepper" (semi-trailer tractor) instead of the normal "Z" Zugmaschine (tractor). Most of these "Sattelschlepper" built by Kaelble got another superstructure, for example double cabins or sleepercabs or dumpers like on the pic.
So it is Your turn now to go on with this quiz.

Best regards

Bert

Hi Bert,
Thanks very much. That is a well disguised semi! I was not aware that some sattelschleppers were convertible to tippers, Pritschenwagens, flat beds, etc. Thanks for the lesson.

Hopefully this next quiz vehicle will engender more participation from the group:

Notice how the troops are seated; back row facing front, middle row facing rear.

Hi Bert,
And how did you determine that this is S 6 G 110, and not S 6 G 125?

Hi Andriy,

the vehicles Kaelble S 6 G 125 had a stronger engine and so a longer engine bonnet.

But in your first photo, you can't see the difference.
They can only be distinguished by the size of the wheels.
They look bigger in that photo than in the second. So I think the first photo is Type S 6 G 125.

Hi Max,
I think it's Horch 901 Type 40.
