I'm curious about this as pennant well. My thought is that since we see the Balkenkreuz but no swastika it probably has no official Government affiliation but maybe is a private organization, such a a WWI Veterans Association or something like that. But that's only a theory, perhaps someone can set us straight.

Hi Kerry,
what an excellent question! Really very difficult! But I think that I could find the leading bike:
Ariel Square Four 1000.
Here a pic of this motorbike (source: https://www.autoevolution.com/moto/arie ... tml#agal_2).
Best regards
Bert

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Bert,
Well done, not an easy one. It could also be a "Squariel" 600, but happy with 1000. What a beautiful restoration!
The other two are DKW NZ 350s I think.
Congratulations, you have control.
Cheers,
Kerry.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Kerry,
thank You very much! I think You are right with the "Squariel" 600. I didn´t know this type until today. Thanks for that!
Today an easier question (I couldn´t find a better one without a long search). Who can ID this vehicle?
Best regards
Bert
P.S.: Kerry , a request from me: could You, please, post Your pic of the Bedford Kommandeurswagen under the "vehicle identity requests"?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Max,
excellent! That was a reord in ID! Maybe too easy for such experts like You.
I think that there were captured not so many of this cars by German soldiers.
So it is Your turn to go on with the quiz.
Best regards
Bert

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Thank you, Bert. No I don't imagine many were captured but here is another showing the unusual windscreen shape:

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Time for a clue? Well, there's a clue within the photo if you look towards the postman's shoe (which I suspect most of you have probably already noticed).
Cheers,

Hi Max,
could it be a Citroen P 19, although it is a vehicle of the Deutsche Reichspost?

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Bert,
Excellent! Hard to tell from this photo if it is P 19 variant but It's definitely a Citröen Kegresse. Actually I think it is a type C6, the civil version of the P 17 as shown here: It may have originally belonged the Austrian Post and ended up in Reichspost livery after the Anschluss.
Congratulations and I turn the quiz over to you.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Max,
thank You very much. I thought it could be the type P 19, because the Deutsche Reichspost got two halftrack busses of the type P 19 in the year 1933. I could find a pic of the P 19 in the book "Reichspost-Album - Postomnibusse der dreißiger Jahre" by Volkhard Stern. I didn´t know that the Austrian Bundespost also had such vehicles. But there is an information in the same book, that the Deutsche Reichspost got several Citroen C 6 postbusses model 1929/30 in the year 1938. That´s the confirmation that You are right with the designation C 6. You are really an exccelent expert!
Here is my new question:
who can ID this vehicle on the left?

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi all,
however the questio seams to be more difficult than I thought. So here is a hint:
the vehicle is not made in Germany, but in a neighbouring country.
Much luck
