Nuts!!!
The mind is obviously going quicker and quicker. At least it was a difficult one 16 months ago.
Try this one instead.

Re: The official AHF Panzers & other vehicles quiz thread
Hi Markus:
Actually, it is an Artena, photo taken in Libya ca. 1940.
I may be away for a while today, so please take the quiz forward.

Re: The official AHF Panzers & other vehicles quiz thread
Hi Markus,
for me it´s a Kaelble tractor. To the type: I think it could be either a Z 6 R 2 A or a Z 6 R 3 A, types with different engines, either with 100 hp or 180 hp.
Regards
Bert

Hi Bert,
A Kaelble tractor it is. In the good old Werner Oswald book a similar machine is ID'd a Z 6 V 2 A; haven't seen a Z 6 R 2 A but wasn't Z 6 R 3 A a forward cab tractor? Nice photo though, seems to depict the Luftwaffe steelpan big band on tour.
Over to you,
Markus

Re: The official AHF Panzers & other vehicles quiz thread
Hi Markus,
thanks. You are totally right, the Z 6 R 3 A is a forward cab tractor. My fault, sorry. In my source, the book of Wolfgang Gebhardt: "Taschenbuch Deutscher Zugmaschinenbau". there is a pic of the type Z 6 R 2 A I´ll post. In his summary of Kaelble tractor types there is none with the ID Z 6 V 2 A. Now the question is, who is right, Oswald or Gebhardt. After all I think Oswald is right, because Gebhardt´s book is older (1988) and the data of his books are not always right. No wonder in a book edited 20 years ago.
Now to the next quiz: please ID the truck behind the little tank!
Regards

No references here at the shop, but it surely looks like a Fiat Baililla, 508 I think.

Edit at 1640 Hours:
Do I know the difference between a car and a truck?? Of course I do.
Do I know the difference between a car and a truck?? Of course I do.
If I repeat it often enough, I may come to believe it but for today, I do not know the difference between a car and a truck.

Autocarro Unificato Medio Bianchi Miles?
Bert, Re: the Kaelble, my Oswald is an old 1982 edition... it's quite possible that his designation is incorrect.

Hi Markus,
excuse me for the delay.
First to the Maelble. Yeah, of course It could also be that Oswald is wrong. Maybe one of our experts know the right designation of this tractor.
Markus, You are right with the ID, it´s an Italian Bianchi "Miles". The name is interesting for me, because it means "soldier" and is a word from Latin.
So, please go on with the next quiz.

Thanks Bert,
New subject: the half-track in the freight car behind the railway protection detail.
Re:Re: the Kaelble, maybe both Gebhardt and Oswald are right providing there were two outwardly similar tractors: a Z 6 R 2 A with a 100 hp engine as per Gebhardt and a Z 6 V 2 A with a 130 hp one like Oswald writes.

Re: The official AHF Panzers & other vehicles quiz thread
My thoughts exactly.
Nicely done, Protze. The ZiS would have been easy to confuse with the rather similar GAZ-60 from a photo as low-rez as that.
Over to you,

Hi all,
Here a new question. On the picture you see a "peacefull" situation from the start of an railway transport of a German army unit. Name the make and model of that truck on the railwaycar.
