Those aren't Russians, they are Canadians. AlanLarry Hayward wrote:You are right- its a Snowmobile in use by the Russians
Still I have no idea how many the Russians got or which units used them.
No doubt it influenced a few of their own post war designs

It looks to me that the crew of the Snowmobile are Russian and wearing hats like these guys. The Bren was used by the Soviets too and it looks like the man in the front is sticking a Thompson with a round magazine out of the front, so I say Russian!

Larry, I forgot to add, that is an SdKfz 250/5, several other pictures of the same vehicle appear in the Total Detail book on the 250. Alan

Yes it is an Sd Kfz 250/5 which I posted on the quiz as its shot from an angle that hides important detail. I suppose many of you have seen this shot before, so I will find something else harder next time!

Larry, this thing is now more than a month old.
The only ID clue I can see is that the front wheels are typical of contemporary Fiat armoured cars of the period but a hell of a lot of searching came up with nothing. Probably I am completely wrong but I thing we need to end this one and perhaps you can post another quiz photo after solving this particular mystery.
