Hi Alan:

I did get a bit lazy, but I figured most everyone knew the vehicle ID anyway. The word "Poser" was really the heart of the quiz as that vehicle was used by many countries.
I am surprised you didn't answer the question yourself as I note that you also frequent the source web site.

Anyway, I am glad we flushed Phil out of his cave and now he can see if he can stump us.

Hi guys

Thanks for the kind words! The reasons for nof posting on this thread very often are 1. Time and 2. There are a lot of softskins here and I am an armour man and don't know a 4x4 from a 1/2 track! I'll try and find you something special though.

As for the gun I nearly went for a Schnieder M36 (which I know the Rumanians used) but it is hard to tell from the photo. I'll post a picture soon.

Bill, The French had a tracked supply vehicle similar to that but I can't remember the name, or find the pic that I had It is in the background of the fourth pic on page 7 in the link below,

Bill is right it is the Polish C2P tractor (not the more widely used C7P). They were used in small numbers by the Germans. And yes that was a terrible pun about "polishing off" the question but what the hey, if you can't have fun with WW2 weapons of mass destruction when can you.

Bill, While I accept it is whatever you eventually reveal, that very pic appears on "Tanks" as being the Polish one, I cheated and did a search on here and found it on the link below . There are certainly a couple of Polish looking officers right rear of the reviewing stand. I must admit I thought of the Australian SP 2pdr when I saw it first.
