Hi Max,
The ZIS was based on a License from Cadillac - hence all the similiarities. I couldn't reconcile the wheels, headlight positions ( albeit missing ), and the one piece windscreen. Took a stab with Buick hoping to buy some time for my brain to see the light. Oh well - now to work on your truck !

In regard to our current quiz picture, I understand that rear end shots can be a pain in the butt. So here's a clue:

Hi Max
My guess is Meßstellen- und Gerätekraftwagen (Kfz. 63).

Hi Max, hi Rich,

I think it could be a middle A.A. survey party vehicle (mittlere Flak-Messtruppkraftwagen) Sd. Kfz. 7/6 on the chassis of a 8 ton semi-track.

Best regards

Bert

Hi Rich,
Sorry, it's not a Kfz. 63.

Hi Bert,
You are on the right track. From the rear its resemblance to an Sd. Kfz. 7/6 is quite close, from other angles not so much.

Max

Hi Bert,
I read your answer over again after I had my morning Kaffee and was fully awake. You are CORRECT! It is indeed a Flakmeßtruppkraftwagen Kfz. 415, based on a Büssing-NAG 500 or 4500 chassis as shown below:
415_Kfz. 415--.jpg
415_Kfz. 415---.jpg
The clue was a scale model of the Em 4M R Range Finder which was carried in the center aisle space between the seats and storage boxes.
Well Done and sorry for my misunderstanding. Please go on with the quiz!
Cheers,
Max

Hi Max,

thank You very much for Your generosity. But I was not right with the chassis of this vehicle. I thought it is a halftrack Sd.Kfz. 7/6 with a similar superstructure. Unfortunately I cannot attach pics any more. I think I have again a trojan on my PC. So, please, anybody can put the next question.

Best regards

Bert

Hi Bert,
Yes, now I see you said "semi-track". I should have read it a third time. In any case good luck with your computer problems- we need your valuable input.
Anyone out there for the new question?
Cheers,
Max

Hi,

at last I got rid of my problems with the computer and can put the next question. Here it is: who can ID this unusual vehicle of the Luftwaffe?

Best regards

Bert

HiBert,
I should have looked first to Holger!
It's an LTP 200 / 300 Leipzig. http://www.kfzderwehrmacht.de/Homepage_ ... -_300.html

Here's another one anyway:
