I thought it was an Einheitsdiesel but it and your suggestion do seem a bit big to be the relatively small vehicle in the quiz photograph. I'm just totally confused now.SIS 5 wrote: ↑26 Jan 2021, 01:06Hi,
I´m still thinking that it is a Pionierkraftwagen III Mercedes-Benz type G 3 a. Here a pic of such a truck on Holgers site (www.kfzderwehrmacht.de).

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Bert
Thanks for explaining the differences between the MB and BN trucks. I failed to notice the differences in the rims and axle ends. My apologies to all - and an important learning lesson in identification.
Sorry Kerry - Bert actually had the correct answer to the quiz. That was however an excellent quiz subject requiring identification thru very small differences.
Thanks
Richard

Hello all,
If Bert wants to put up a quiz photo I am happy to give him control, maybe mine can wait until I actually get one right.
Cheers,
Kerry.

Hi Kerry,
I gave up some time ago on this one. Maybe I could "badger" or "nag" you for a wee bit of a clue?

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hello Max and Markus.
Firstly, Max I am sorry I was slow in responding to the request for a clue, but I believe that Markus has pinned it. I was torn between an Aero 30 and a 50. From the angle, the length of bonnet is hard to judge, but the lack of light bar and placement of the horn(s) pointed me towards an Aero 50. I know that not all 30s had a mounting bar for the headlights, but many did. So, I settled on the 50 over the 30.
Markus, you have control, thank you.
Kerry.

Hi Kerry & Markus,
Yes, Congrats to Markus. Kerry, I agree it is the 50. On my pics it looks like the curvature of the lower edge of the front wings is more pronounced on the 30, like this:
