Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Max,
Thank you for that. I imagine that my next image won't pose too many difficulties but please take your time.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Bert,
You're right - I noticed that as well as a heavy-handed clue I also gave away the make of the vehicle. Unable to delete it, I thought 'what the heck!'.
I think it's a model E200 or E400. A Kombinationswagen was used as a weekday delivery van and a weekend family saloon car, seen here in Luftwaffe service.
Well done and our to you! Rob.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Rob,
That is a Rolux/New-Map " Voiturette Baby" microcar from France. Since it has a licence plate I presume it is the VB 61 model:

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
It's a Jawa and I think that the designation is Janacek AT-1. There are two more illustrations of the vehicle and one of the chassis in Jan Kralik's book, 'Jawa'.
Czech, mate!

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hello Rob,
Could you upload scans of this interesting car in better quality and write technical specifications? I would really appreciate it.
Regards
Andriy

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Andriy,
These are the relevant pages from Jan Kralik's book. They contain some technical specifications but as I have no Czech I'm afraid that I can't translate them into English other than rozvor being the wheelbase of 2750mm.
The photographs themselves are dark and show little detail. If I'm able to produce better scans I'll upload them for you but I'm not too hopeful.
The factory owner Frantisek Janacek (the 'Ja' in 'Jawa') was responsible for the invention and development of the Littlejohn adaptor squeeze-bore device as sometimes seen on wartime British armoured cars, Littlejohn being, I believe, an anglicised version of the name Janacek.
I hope that this helps. I'll look on the internet and see if I can find anything more about the vehicle.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Rob,
Czech mate, indeed! . All I knew from my only pic is that this was a 4x4 Jawa kübel from 1938. So Bravo, and thanks very much for the additional info and photos. Your knowledge of odd Czech vehicles is brilliant.
Please carry on.
Cheers,
Max
