Hi Max,

excellent again! You are absolutely right. Those "bullhorns" are a sure identification mark of the Büssing-NAG type G 31.

Please go on with the quiz!

Best regards

Bert

The tubular structure mounted on the front bumper, aka grille guard, brush bar, bullbar, or 'roo bar in Australia.

Max

I can't think of a good clue other than this is an uncommon variant of a fairly common vehicle.

Hi Max,

that could be a leichter Einheits-PKW, Kfz. 2, Funkkraftwagen (radio motor vehicle).

Best regards

Bert

Hi Bert,
Very close but not exactly. This Einheits Kfz. 2 type was made only by a single manufacturer and was not a Funkwagen .

Max

Ha Max,

why cannot it be a radio Funkkraftwagen? In the luggage space there is a radio (Tornisterfunkgerät) and the antenna base on the left rear side of the vehicle is not visible, because it was used as a coat peg.

Best regards

Bert

Hi Bert,
My apologies. It is indeed a Kfz. 2 Funkwagen not a Kfz. 2/40 small repair vehicle, as shown below and athttp://www.kfzderwehrmacht.de/Hauptseit ... t_kw_.html. I was thinking the radios were the "canisters" that Holger speaks of and overlooked the obvious. Well played, sir and please carry on.

Hi Max,

thank You very much. I was not sure with the Kfz. 2 Funkwagen, because I haven´t seen a pic of this vehicle from the rear. So it was a very interesting pic for me, like all pics showing the rear of vehicles.

Here my new question: who can ID this vehicle?

Best regards

Bert

Hi Dirk,

thanks a lot for Your answer, but it isn´t a Hanomag Kübel. I forgot to write that it is a truck.

Best regards

Bert

Bert,
I think that the vehicle in question is a Phanomen Granit 25h, not often seen as a kubelwagen, more often encountered as an ambulance.
Regards,
Rob.
