Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Max,
that could be a Dodge 1936 model series, maybe the type LE 31 or LE 32 like on the pic.
Best regards
Bert

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Bert,
Brilliant! That's exactly correct. A rather unusual vehicle in Wehrmacht service I would say.
Please continue.

Hi Max,
thank You! You are right, a really unusual vehicle in the Wehrmacht. So it was a very good question for the quiz!
Here is the next question:
Who can ID the truck behind the motorcycles?
Best regards
Bert

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Bert,
As usual you haven't given us many clues for a positive ID but I'm thinking that it may be a VOMAG Dreitonner.

Hi Max,
The swung bumper has a French look about it, perhaps Salmson S4?
Cheers,
Kerry.

Hi Kerry,
Excellent! I had a feeling that you would be the one to get la voiture française.
Please carry on, Sir.

Hi Max,
That was quick! Yes, you have it perfectly. Not exactly designed for military use, but the two soldiers look very happy with "their" new car.
Well done Max, you not have control,
Best,
Kerry.

Hi Max,
The curse of the sausage fingers! I said "you not have control", it should have read "you now have control". A little less confusing.
Cheers,
Kerry.

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Hi Max,
a very good question. I needed a lot of time ti find this vehicle. It is a Einheitsdiesel modified to a test vehicle as a snowblower. Here the pic of this vehicle with the view from the front.
Best regards

Re: Axis Non-Armored Vehicles quiz
Well done, Bert and thanks for the nice clear photo. This was an interesting mod indeed, with the dual front Trilex wheels to handle all that extra weight. Here's a pre-war pic I was thinking of using but it's quite well hidden,
. It was also tried with a blade plow but with the standard front wheels.
Please proceed with the next question.Cheers,
Max
