Yes, when I said 'they were built', I meant all types of aerosan, not specifically the NKL-16 and 26. Sorry for any confusion.

I received my copy of the CMV issue today and it was a quite pleasant surprise! Almost all photos were new, and even two of the NKL-38 prototypes. One prototype with a rocket launcher on the roof. The article doesn't say but I believe these were only used in the defence of Moscow. The article also mentions a prototype using the T-40 turret and still achieving 65 km/h. Only error spotted is that one of the photos captions says "NKL-6 (NKL-16)" where I think it should say "OSGA-6" in the parentheses (strange coincident considering the previous posts here!). If your're interested in this theme, the magazine is well worth getting for this article alone.

There's two or three points where they're referred to as NKL 6 (NKL 16) as though the two are the same, though in other places the text is quite clear about the distinction between the two. Just one of those odd errors that creep in, I guess.
