Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
That is the turret and antenna mount for a Sd Kfz 232 6 Rad. Not an Sd Kfz 263 - it has a much longer and symetrical fixed superstructure to which the antenna is attached and the 263 antenna does not have the down-turned ends.

No, it is the antenna for the SdKfz 263, the antennas were different, note the figure of eight loop above the turret. Als note the covered up Kurbelmast on the turret roof.Pz III wrote:That is the turret and antenna mount for a Sd Kfz 232 6 Rad. Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
These are both Sd Kfz 263s one the 6 rad one the 8 rad. The superstructure on the 6 rad is fixed. This antenna mount does not allow what appears to be a turret to turn. Also the 232 would have a 20mm gun with coax mg in both version.

Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
No they are BOTH SdKfz 263, the first is a 6Rad while the second is an 8 Rad. Notice that the 6 RAD had no cannon just an MG in its (fixed) turret front, it was built before the 8 Rad with production ceasing in 1936.Pz III wrote:Nope this is a Sd Kfz 232.

Hi,
a very interesting pic, indeed. I think, that it is a 7,5-cm-Pak 97/38 (f) auf Fahrgestell Panzerkampfwagen T 26 (r).
Regards

Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
Thank You!
fortunately I remembered the drawing of this vehicle (out of the book: "Beute-Kraftfahrzeuge und -Panzer der deutschen Wehrmacht" by Walter J. Spielberger).
Here another armored vehicle to ID.

Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
A captured British Humber armoured car. Maybe a MkII with the short barrelled 15 mm Besa, judging by its closeness to the rock face (assuming the new owners didn't change the armament), and the small stowage box on the left front mudguard.
Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
Hi Hoss,
very good. It is a captured British "Humber". I cannot say, if it is the Mk II or III. Ín the source (Waffen-Arsenal Band 146: "Beutepanzer unterm Balkenkreuz" by Werner Regenberg) it is a Mk III, used by the 4th parachute division in Italy. So it´s Your turn to go on with the quiz.
