Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
Thank you Shamirnewell, I would hope that the late Mr. Quarrie also found the answer, I used to like his books and still have many to this day.
I wonder what the Germans were doing with this turret less T-60, a artillery tractor perhaps?

Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
Hi yantaylor,
in the book "Kettenschlepper der Wehrmacht 1935 - 1945" by Fred Koch I found the information, that the chassis of the T 60 were used as "Gepanzerter Munitionsschlepper T 60 - 743 (r)", armored ammunition tractors.
Regards
Bert

Indeed the T60, it was the relatively rare spoked wheels which confused the issue I guess.

Cheers Bert.
Yes Alan, I would have thought that Quarrie would have identified that vehicle without the help of others, but as you said the spoked wheels may have threw him.

Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
I thought that the vehicle in the photo above was a 8.8cm FlaK 18 (Sfl) auf Zugkraftwagen 12t (Sd Kfz 8)
Ten of these were produced in 1939 and another fifteen in 1940.
These vehicles served in Poland and France with the 8th Schwere Panzerjagerabteilung.
Yan.
