Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
Well I knew I couldn't get one past you guys, yes, a Flak Panzer I, I think this along with Panzerjäger I was the best two conversions of the Panzer I, certainly more potent then the basic MG armed tank.
Glad you both liked the photo, but I wish that the image didn’t have those silly arrows in it.

Thanks Ian,
Here is my next image for the quiz - not difficult but a rarely photographed vehicle.

Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
At first I thought it was a turretless T-37, but it is too rounded, I will have another go tomorrow, when I am less knackered.

Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
I'd give you the answer but since I had to "duck" for cover on my last question I'm not going to.

Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
Chamberlain, Jentz & and Doyles encyclopaedia of german tanks says it was based on the Borgward B2, but was just called the Borgward Ente.
And if yan wishes to pass his turn, try identifying this happy chap:

Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
Nope, there would have to be a matching hatch on the left for it to be the roof of the 263.
Sort of Clue: happy chap is doing maintenance, which accounts for his position and some of the detritus on the left.

Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
Pardon me Bam but it is bad form to hop into this thread and confirm or deny the identity of a subject which I presented. And then to insert a photo for the quiz completely out of turn and without earning it. I might forgive this if not for your troublesome, self-righteous, smug and somewhat arrogant posts in the past.
Ian's answer of the Sd Kfz 300 Borward B2 "Ente" was correct and it is his turn to select the next subject for the quiz.
Gotten so that a guy can't go out of town for the weekend to see his daughter without someone tramping all over him - jesus' sunglasses !
Disgusted in the US

Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
With respect, yan had already stated that he wouldn't be able to find a suitable subject for the next round...and no one else had chipped anything in for 2 days.
And technically I'm still owed a go for identifying the wirblewind precursor. Like yan, I just didn't have any interesting images then, for "my" go, until I spotted the "happy chap" photo very recently in a new book and thought it would be a perfect teaser.

Re: Axis Armored Vehicles Quiz
Can this be any vehicle from any country and not just German?
I don't usually post on this thread so I don't know how it works, I should though since I have been knocking around this site for nealy a decade.

Ian, it is AXIS so as long a an Axis country is using it you can use it as a question.
