Rich, very close but you need to think a little deeper, not an L or M or N for that matter.

The very thing. I cropped this pic from a photograph of one found abandoned in Holland during Market Garden. It had belonged to the HG Training Regiment apparently. I thought that perhaps the fact that the antenna trough had been stripped from it might confuse. I believe that I can just make out the edge of the pot for the star antenna hidden by the open engine cowl.

I had a toss up between J & L-M models. Couldn't reconcile the lack of an armored cooling louver and now I know why. Anyway good quiz subject now let me see what I can dredge up.

Ok guys - here is my next quiz subject. Yes it is a Pz III. What I am looking for is specifically what Ausf and true purpose.

Brano, don't tell that to Wikipedia who don't know that the drive sprocket was different even if the road wheels might have looked vaguely similar.
