Hi Bam
that's the armoured box containing a transmitter radio set
attached to the back of the turret of a Pzkpfw III (probably Ausf J)
that was used to control the BIV Ladungsträger.

Damn you're good! Yes it's an Aust J too.
it is the early version, with the aerial mounted forwards, not the later version with the aerial at the rear like this below.

Hi everybody,
here my next question.
Identify this vehicle please.

@Bam
thanks for your nice words.
Is it possible that you post the uncropped versions of the pictures from your last posts?

Your quiz photo is a krupp protze armoured with 5mm armour sheet, and carrying a 3.7cm pal 36 with an expanded gunshield.
I think 2 were made, used in summer 41 in Russia, and never seen again...

The armoured protze was a gebirgs division asset, how interesting¡ They are wearing mountain caps in 2 nd last photo.
I’ve seen a photo of one of the guns with four kill rings on the barrel, so it earnt its keep....but the open sides make its use very tricky, only useful against one direction, which can work in panzerjaeger tactics.

Hi Bam
that's a good one.
I think I have an idea already what it could be, but I need some time to check.
I hope someone else comes up with the solution because it's getting
harder to find good questions.

Agree, it's hard work! This one above is the result of some long digging, so I'm glad it's caused you to pause.
Rare vehicles aren't enough anymore, we all know them really, as this website exposes everything...its now about finding an unusual angle or something.
