Hi Bam
sorry to disappoint you. It didn't take too long to find the solution
My first thought was that it could be a ventilator on a Maus turret.
But after checking it couldn't be. My second thought was it could only be the roof of the
superstructure of a heavily armoured vehicle. That left only a few possibilities such as
Jagdtiger, Elefant and finally I got it.
It's the ventilator on the roof of a Sturmtiger.

Oh beautiful! You've got me totally stumped...its another armin special !

Usually when I see a ww2 vehicle, I've got some ideas , but that weird turret shape and frame is not ringing ANY bells at all. Nada.
I dunno where to start digging around....skoda PA III armoured car or something? The frame aerial looks like Dali designed it...

that's what it is. Skoda PA-III radio car.
It seems that this quiz has been developing into a contest between the two of us.
So I will hold back next time to give someone else a chance.
Here are the 3 pictures I've been collected so far of this vehicle and 2 additional pictures
of a similar vehicle based on the model PA-II.

Wow, I was really guessing, long shot, as I’ve never seen the PA III with a frame before, and I couldn’t work out where it’s gun had gone. It’s a wonderfully weird frame construction....surrealist or Art Deco inspired would you say?

I’ve got a quiz subject idea, I just need to find the right angle to display it.

Alan, I agree, it’s nearly impossible to find a vehicle no one has seen, so the only way to make it difficult is to find a partial view, or an odd angle, to make it hard....and that takes a bit of digging to find those tricky photos. But I’m sure you could come up with a teasing image, if you have the time to search though...

after nearly 2 weeks with no attempts to solve my question
I think it is about time to give the answer.
It is the 3,7-cm-Selbstfahrlafette L70 auf Fahrgestell HL kl 3 (H).
If anybody wants to step in with a new question please feel free to do it.
