The Protze visors look similar to those on the SPW 251 Ungepanzerte, a 251 type A, built of unarmoured 4mm unhardened carbon steel plates, to make up for a shortfall in armoured 251 production. 305 were made. Those visors had a very flat profile, as in the pictures below.

.
So that's a third option for the Protze, made of unarmoured steel.
I notice the tops of the rear doors on the protze are slightly bent, but I can't decide if that's more likely in wood or steel...if I had to put money on it, I'd say it looks more like steel, due to the rigidity of the plates. But that's just a guess.

Hi everybody
I would like to restart the quiz.
Can you tell me what kind of vehicles are depicted here?
I cropped the picture a bit to make it more difficult.

Best regards
Armin

Youve cropped the running gear, havent you.
I think they are improvised armoured sdkfz.6.
The one in front has the curved shield of the 2cm gebirgs flak 38 ? The bloke with the big hat is in the way.

Hi Bam
that's part of the motor deck of a Tiger II, the air intake for the carburetor.

SU 76i.

Those troops have lost something important:
"Ok, who dropped the keys?"
"They were just here..."
"Damn this mud..,"

That looks like a Marmon-Herrington armoured car made to look foolish by the Germans.

Well done Alan, it is a Marmon Herrigton mk.1 with an added German frame aerial.
Photo comes from the Balkans, so this vehicle was likely captured in the Greek campaign in April 1941.
You usually see them in DAK usage...theyre rare elsewhere.
.
Your go Alan.

I have the book on the Ozark and I'm sure that the same vehicle is in it. Now to try and find something new !

I'm sure that someone will know know the photograph from which I have cropped this, it is just so hard to find anything "new" now.
