Hi Ivan,
that´s not a Ford, but a Peugeot, type DMA. Here a pic for comparing (ebay).
Best regards

Re: For truck experts
Hi Ivan,
that´s really a hard nut to crack. I would say, it could be a Mercedes-Benz type L 1500. Here two pic of this truck (source: ebay).
Best regards

Re: For truck experts
Hello, Bert, always good to hear from you!
It is a tough one. You might have nailed it though - I don't see any mismatching details. But then again, I also don't see too many details in the mystery photo. In any case - thanks for helping, much appreciated!
Cheers,
Ivan

Re: For truck experts
Ivan,
I believe that is a 1939 Ford G917/997T with the open Wehrmacht cab.
Cheers,
Kerry.

Re: For truck experts
Hello, dear Kerry, and thanks very much. That's most certainly like it, but is it the G917T or G997T?
There are some photos of the same truck here: viewtopic.php?t=36323

Re: For truck experts
Dear Ivan,
As I understand, it the only difference between the G917T and the G887T is in the engine fitted. It is impossible to tell, externally, the difference between the two types. It could be either I am afraid.
Best regards,
Kerry.
