Very nice photos Horty. I noticed you've posted quite a few in several threads today. Do you own the copyrights? Otherwise it's wise to mention your source when posting pics.

Regards,
Timo

Thanks for the pics Horthy, I am very interested in Hungarian AFV 's. Do you happen to know of any pics showing the production of Toldi / Turan vehicles? or details of the factories producing parts for these vehicles?
Sadly I cannot read Hungarian

Thanks in advance

It's too bad Hungary couldn't develop their own tank and put it into production. I know there was the Tas designed for 1945, but I feel sorry for all those crews that had to man those Turans.

Why couldn't a long barrel 75mm gun be put on the Turan II? Was there not enough room or something?

When the Turan III was designed, did it have a new turret or was it simply a Turan II with a longer gun?

Panzer King
They didnt built in long barelled 75mm gun into turans because it was simply not enough this type of gun.
The turan III had bigger turret than previous version (bigger means higher some parts) to have enough room for the larger gun.
Otherways i found this url which could be interested

Thanks for your offer of help cocerning Hungarian AFV's. zsepi.

Do you know of any protype Hungarian vehicles or design studies for tanks , self propelled guns or armoured personal carries? I have asked about the Hungarian Tas tank already on this Forum (dated April 14th) and got some useful drawings and data.

Do you anything about the use of German AFV provided in 1944. I have a reference to the following being delivered:
62 Pz IV
5 Panthers
3 Tiger I
40 stuG III
75 Hetzer

Any photos of these vehicles in Hungarian use / markings? I have seen the front view of a Hungarian Tiger I but little else.

many thanks in advance.
