Comparison of 75mm/L36 Pak 97/38 Firing Table to Armor Penetration Report

It looks to me like there is something off in the official firing table penetration values for the 7,5 cm/L36 PaK 97/38. I mapped the penetration for impact velocities from the graph found in Die Vorgänge beim Beschuß von Panzerplatten Bericht 1943

Also shown are the shell cut-aways of the various AP shells used. The third shell, 75mm K. Gr. Pzgr. (p), is the one the gun uses. It is almost identical to the standard 75mm K. Gr rot Pzgr. shown in the graphic below.

Didn't the Pak97/38 and 97/40 use mostly HEAT rounds?

Yes, that was their most effective round.

IMO the graph and table figures of 60 & 61 mm for 100 m and 54 & 58 mm for 1000 m are not very far off from each other and could be due to variations in actual strike velocity, shell quality, target armour tensile strength (ca. 105...115 kg/mm2 in the 50...80 mm range) and graph tolerances.
