What happened to the destroyed tanks in Normandy?

This is part of the collection area south of Caen in 1946. All are to be consumed by the adjacent Colombelles Steel Plant.

Caen again 1946. I can see 4 Panthers, 7 Pz IV, 1 M10 & 9 M4
