Here are two photos of Tiger 211 from the 2.Kompanie of schwere Panzer-Abteilung (FKL) 301. Does anybody know the names of its crewmen or the name of their company commander? Their tank fell victim to a T26E3 Pershing on February 27, 1945, at Elsdorf, Germany. Sgt. Nicholas Mashlonik commanded the Pershing. He and his crew were with Company E, 33rd Armored Regiment, 3rd Armored Division. The silver trapezoid with a smaller black one was the insignia of s.Pz.Abt.(Fkl) 301. (As an aside, you can download high-resolution versions of both pictures at etohistory.com. These images have no watermark. They’re in a members-only area, but there’s no cost to sign-up.)
