Re: Captured & converted French equipments in axis service
From ebay a Renault R35 in German service without it's original turret. Instead an "home made" turret of welded armorplates with a machinegun. From ebay.

Hi Franzl,
This same picture can be found in one of the BELLONA handbooks (a summery of the selfpropeled weaons of the german army 1939-1945)
They say its a panzerkampfwagen 35R (f) ( MG 34 ) ,and that it was used as a towing vehicle or munitions panzer .

Re: Captured & converted French equipments in axis service
nice picture of FCM36. I have not seen a D1 in German service yet. Spielberger mentiones 18 beute D1 tanks, but also mentiones no particulars. In the new Trackstory no 8 "Renault D1" these 18 are mentioned as drivingtrainers or hard targets for shooting practice, but again no further info or pictures. Also Panzer Tracts no 19-1 mentiones no D1 as beutepanzer.

Re: Captured & converted French equipments in axis service
There was one on eBay a while back. It depicted a French D1 that had been captured and had hastily applied white crosses. Sadly can't find the pic on my PC.Rnox wrote: Buddies, do you know picture of renault D1 with balkenkreuz? I've missed it!
