History of the Flammtiger development in the first link comes from the "Flammpanzer, German flamethrowers 1941-1945" by Doyle and Jentz, Osprey NV15 volume.

Hitler was making some odd requests in 1945.
Excerpt from a document published on 19.3.1945 by the Inspector General of the Armored Troops where mention is made of Hitler's desire to transform a Tiger I into a flamethrower vehicle. Because neither the Tiger I chassis nor the flamethrower system managed to be transported from Kummersdorf to Kassel (Wegmann Company) this project was never carried out.

8) Flamethrower system on chassis of Tiger I
During a conference the Führer has returned to order very clearly to the Generalleutnant Thomale that a flamethrower system with a range of 100-120 meters is mounted as quickly as possible on a chassis of Tiger I leaving aside for this purpose the turret.
The Führer wants the chemists to use all their energy to match the characteristics of German flamethrower oil to that of the English; to equalize the disadvantage of its smaller effective range (100 to 120 meters) the Führer is inclined to greatly strengthen its frontal armor.
