Thanks - I was just wondering about the paper trail showing when & by whom the permission to keep them was approved, or even the original request to keep them. It had to be through some sort of official document. Having dealt with German documents for a few years, and have also dealt with the modern German bureaucracy when I was stationed there three separate times, I know that they don't give up anything or request anything without paperwork to back it up. I guess it's not that important though, in the grander scheme of things. Would have been nice to have seen it.
