Magdeburg Gruson Werke Krupp. Photo taken July 1945 so would conclude that Stug IV's were still being produced when the factory was captured in April 1945.

Thanks Antony

Hi,
Krupp Gruson were certainly building and delivering their StuG IV's right at wars end, in the book "Krupp Grusonwerk, Panzer aus Magdeburg" there is a copy of a a delivery note (Lieferschein) from Krupp Grusonwerke to HPzZa Altengrabow bei Loburg, dated 26 Marz 1945, which lists 10 vehicles, Chassis numbers 101101, 101103 to 101111 inclusive.

Hi Warriorant,
There maybe some doubt over whether that photo of all those incomplete StuG IV was taken in July 1945, the same book as mentioned previously, says the same photo is "end 1944", the book also says the last StuG IV was produced 8th April 1945 ,

What told you the photo was July 1945 ?

cheers Paul

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for the source information, not really sure myself what is correct, but on balance I would be for the German Krupp Grusonwerke history book to be the more correct of the two sources, but...............??

cheers Paul
