Open top vehicles interior colour (winter)

Hi guys,

I remember reading that open top vehicles (e.g., Marders, Halftracks) had their interior painted with the same colour as their exterior camouflage to avoid being easily spotted by aircraft. I'm interested in Dunkelgrau particularly and it feels rather dark and thus impractical to be used inside the vehicle. Could someone confirm - was the colour identical or was there a slightly lighter tint to it?

Also, could someone clarify for me, what happens if the vehicle is designated to fight in winter, i.e has white wash camouflage applied over it? I suppose the camo is usually applied by the crew, so this should have no impact on the interior colour. Basically, I'm wondering how an interior of a winter Sd. Kfz. 250 would look like.
