Re: Photothread: Road Vehicles of the Deutsche Reichsbahn
Hi,
thank You very much for posting this picture. I didn´t know, that the Reichswehr used captured vehicles.
Here another vehicle of the Reichsbahn, an Henschel tractor. Probably one of the first tractors of the Reichsbahn.
Regards
Bert

Re: Photothread: Road Vehicles of the Deutsche Reichsbahn
Hi Bert,
Thanks for the great photo of the Henschel tractor of a type I have never seen before. It looks almost like it has an Einheits Fahrerhaus but as you say it is an early model.
It appears that the large pressure vessel in tow is mounted on a Culemeyer trailer, which as you know was in wide use by the Reichsbahn. Here are a few more examples of Culemeyers in DR use:

Hi Truelove,
That's great. Maybe you can post your work in the modelling section? Anyway here's a few more for you that may or may not be useful in detailing your project.

Yes thanks for posting the pics Max, the trailer with 12 wheels showing doensnt look to be the standard Culemeyer type.

Re: Photothread: Road Vehicles of the Deutsche Reichsbahn
Perhaps four 6-wheelers or two 12-wheelers trailers with a long I-beam on which to carry the load?
The 24-wheeler Culemeyer does appear to be some kind of standard, see this picture moving a 38cm Gun barrel.
(Downloaded on 23.02.2005. But don't remember where from.)

Re: Photothread: Road Vehicles of the Deutsche Reichsbahn
Excellant pics Leo. Any idea where the gun tube is headed?
Also curious if this trailer has the wheels inside the frame also, as the other culemeyers? I have just recieved the MGM 150 ton trailer, a 24 wheeler with outside wheels only. Have only seen 1 actual pic of it tho.
Thanks again to all for the great pics being posted.

Re: Photothread: Road Vehicles of the Deutsche Reichsbahn
I have no further information, just the photographs.
The title states:
38cm S.K.C. 34 barrel for the Batterie II at Hanstholm, Denmark
Maybe Uwe can help further.
