Hi Alexander,

- the region Düsseldorf on the Rhine river stood for the IY code on Third Reich license plates
- that´s the model K 800, mostly used with a sidecar. Here a pic of this motorcycle (source: https://revivaler.com/zundapp-k800/)

A very interesting pic, thank You very much for posting. The man is a member of the NSKK, the National Socialist Motor Corps (in German: Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps). It was a paramilitary organization of the Nazi Party NSDAP. Here a pic of learner drivers of the NSKK (source of the pic: "Kräder der Wehrmacht" by Horst Hinrichsen):

Regards

Bert

Bert many thanks! Name of this young man is Joseph Krissel, later he joined Luftwaffe (1940) and Fallschirmtruppe (1943) ... Note he has Driver's Proficiency Badge on his cuff.

Best regards,
Alexander
