Hanomag SS100 with KM plates...

Anybody have any insight in the use of these tractors by the Kriegsmarine? This one (from the family album of a friend) has KM plates, a symbol of cross in a square which is unknown to me, it was photographed in Schüttorf, which is quite a distance from the coast and the uniform does not look like a KM uniform to me.

Hi Harro,

these tractors were also used by the Kriegsmarine for the transport of supplies by pulling trailers. The symbol of cross in a square is for a "Tross" (train). Here two other Hanomag tractors of the Kriegsmarine with trailers.
