I am looking for information about panzer formation and vehicles used in it. My research is based on photos from German Soldbuch. All I know at this point is that I am looking for StuG that was destroyed in late 1944 or early ’45 in Hungary. I want to know what StuGs were used in this unit and where I could look for photos.
At the beginning I would like to decode the data from the photo, ‘cause the datas I find by my own are mutually exclusive and I’m still not sure what Division it is (if it is a Division, at all).
Moreover, does it make sense to write to German archives asking for hel pif I am related to the soldier I’m looking for?
