Hello,

Better known battle this time: 2 German wrecks in the area of the Mont Dieu woods / Stonne in May 1940.
- The 3rd Panzer IV hit near Stonne by Sergent Durand's 25mm SA34 AT gun from 67e RI (followed by internal explosion) on May 15
- A Panzer III knocked out in the same area

Regards,

David

Hi David,
Panzer IV destroyed, unknown location.
This Panzer IV was destroyed in Polskie Lakie near Plewno (in so called Polish Corridor) on 03.09.1939.

It was from Pz.Rgt.6 (3. Pz.Div.) - below some more photos of this Pz-IV and here more wrecks from this area:

Panzerkampfwagen IV destroyed in Polskie Łąki, the same place - in 1939 and today:

During combats near Polskie Lakie on 3 IX 1939 2nd battery of 11. Horse Artillery Battalion distinguished itself and inflicted heavy casualties to the Germans, eliminating 8 tanks - including 5 by gun commanded by Cpl. Ceglarski.
