I would not have thought a 6 pounder would have the power to penetrate a Porsche KT on the side of it's turret. I'm no expert, but I thought the 6 pounder shell was only about 57milimetres wide, and the armour on the side of Porsche KT was about 80 milimetres thick, and sloped.
Am I mistaken?

I thought the max penetration for a British 57mm gun was 78mm?

80mm at 1000 yards for 2630 feet/sec muzzle velocity,armor 30 degree slope.(Bovington tank museum tables),full caliber ammunition.

British 57mm APCBC penetrated slightly more than american M86 APCBC-HE at about the same velocity because it didn't have inert explosive filler.97mm FH armor at 0 degree for british gun and 91mm for american at 1000 meters.

One of this rare vehicles was found in Iraq during last war. Who said what Rommel's tanks didn't reach Middle East? :)
