I recieved the below info on the museum in Lesany, Czech Republic, today:

here is some info about Czech Army Muzeum in Lesany:


MUZEUM LESANY



Pz.IV with Tatra engine (post-war Czechoslovak modification, tank was used in driver school), now repainted to owful "German cammo", shurtzen were added



Hetzer – 2 units , the first one without gun used during Prague uprising, the second one from post-war service in Czechoslovak Army – now repainted to German colours, but with Czech modifications (lights etc.)



Praga LT-38/ Pz Kpfw 38(t) in Czech cammo, but this is the nonsence, because Czech army only tested one prototype and this tank is some later variant built for Wehrmacht or Slovak Army



many variants of Czech post-war modification of SdKfz-251 produced as Tatra OT-810 with different engine and tracks.



trucks used in Wehrmacht: Praga RN, Praga RV, Škoda 6L, Tatra 92, Tatra 111, Tatra 27, Mercedes 1500 fire truck



command cars and light cars: Praga AV- 6 wheeled command car, Škoda 903 Superb - 6 wheeled command car, Tempo G-1200, Tempo 600 (three-wheeled truck), VW Kubelwagen, Mercedes 170V, Tatra 57K, Krupp L2H Protze, Stoewer



some motorcycles: BMW 750, Zundapp 750, Wanderer 98 and other



German armoured vagon



many cannons, mostly Skoda, but some Pak-35/36, Flak 88, Flak 38 etc.



some exponates are borrowed by private collectors and are changed every year a little bit



Museum is located between villages Krhanice and Lesany near city Tynec nad Sazavou in former artillery casern. Exposition contains more than 350 exponates (tanks, cannons, motorcycles, trucks, cars from 1890 until today). Admission is free.



Opening hours: June and September – only weekends

July and August – from Wednesday to Sunday

from 9 to 17 o'clock

Guys, there's a beautifull KönigsTiger somewhere in the Ardennes, placed near a road. No museum, just near the road.

Plus there's a great Museum with all kinds of armor, weapons and guns in Overloon, the Netherlands.

I don't like Bovington, they all just look too... new...glossy... Who agrees?
