some tank identifications please
Hi
I found this pic´s on ebay.de:
1)
It´s a Panzer IVD I think. But have a look at the gun shield and the MG in the hull.
2)
After some weeks of searching I´m not able to identify this one.

I've looked through "Czechoslovak Armored Fighting Vehicles 1918-1948" by Kliment and Francev and it has features of a couple different tanks. Without re-reading a couple chapters I'll make a few comments.
I'm wondering if it is a test turret on a production chassis, or vice versa. The turret machine gun looks like the rounded armored cowl type, the turret has the right handed cupola w/ that style hatch and viewports, LT vz.38 style gun mount, high mounted port to the left of the gun (as seen from above the vehicle) hull front, but what really throws it is the LT vz.35's distinctive track guide on the sprocket. The S-III, V-8-H, T-21, and Turan all have some of these features - but not all.

I was searching and due of the position of the driver armor plate it could be a czech Skoda SP-III Medium Tank prototype.

This is the reply:
YoursI cannot make out clearly the registration number, which appears to be 13638. In that case it is the prototype Š-III-6 of 1939. Built by Škoda, the vehicle was armed with a 4.7 cm Škoda Š-III gun and two ZB vz. 37 heavy machine guns. Crew of four, 8 mph top speed, 16-32 mm armor, 18.6 ton weight.

Cant help you with a better picture that previous mentioned, only with better picture of the 13638 from the side,if you take a good look you can see that the camoflage pattern is the same .It is definitely the Skoda S-III-6 prototype. The army bought two of them, S-III-6 and S-III-8, numbers 13638 and 13639.
May I ask where did you get the photo, and would it be possible to get a scan with higher resolution?
The picture comes from an expired e-bay sale
