Sturmgeschütz III Ausf ? versus Maresal (M-05 prototype)
There was another German officer who admitted that Hetzer was inspired by the Maresal, engineer Wohlrath from Alket. He told the Romanian designers (in May 1944): "for 2 years we have been trying to design a good, lightweight and well-armed tank destroyer. We couldn't find the right solution, but you found it."
