Hmm has Anyone posted picture like this? i had to because the larges size is 800 pix and this show a panoramic view-hope to be justified :)
You can always re-return it...I mean picture not monitor :lol:

Hmm that was (suppose) used too!

Furthermore Germans have some Pantherturms -bunkers with panther turret of both types:
1 from damaged or destryed panther a
2 special design for panzerstellung bunker type

3 ordinary Panther tanks but offen with damaged suspension,engine etc.

Wire mesh armour it was a field modification, especially during the fight in Berlin to protect the tank agianst panzerfausts.

The wire-racks are anti-panzerfaust shields!

Still in use by the americans in Iraq agaist RPG´s...

That was a common practice during hot battle time-just to improvise,like Mc Gyver:
"Hmm what do we have:glue,macaroni(pasta) and wood stick...so we can make a helicopter!"

Another example-> Shermans-but those used sand bugs and a welded construction of I or L shaped beams.
I Heard that they were nick-nammed 'corn'

Interestingly the Germans "solid" side skirts were replaced by wire mesh side-skirts as they were cheaper and quicker to produce and used less raw material and were just as efective as "solid" sdie skirts.
