Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi uncle,
1937 Chrysler Royal convertible coupe.
(I keep getting this error msg. when attempting to attach a pic: Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.) Never seen this before in my 9 years here.

I guess I spoke too soon. The monster has raised its ugly head again. I hope that's not a sign that the end is near. I've sent a PM to Admin , hope they can sort it out.
Cheers,
Max

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Max,
Enclosed image is a drawing by Hubert Cance which seems to support your suggestion that the light tank is indeed a Vickers 'Dutchman'.
I notice, directly beneath the nose of the tank, what appears to be an Austin 8 tourer so I wonder if abandoned British vehicles are being collected prior to their being assessed for use or cannibalisation by the German Armed Forces.
Rob.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Korjan,
With the protruding steering column to me It looks like a Faun, I'm not sure of the Type, maybe L450 or L500:

That would be the first prove of a larger Faun truck of the Afrikakorps!
Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Corjan, hi Max,
yes, it is a Faun! Very good ID! But couldn´t it be the type L 400 with an open cab like shown on Holger´s site?
Best regards
Bert
