Re: Vehicle identity requests
Sturm:
Your first photo is a Buessing Nag G31 for sure. Not sure about the middle one and I agree with Sean that the third is a Berna or Saurer possibly an ex civilian model.
I also agree with Sean on the Lancia and note it has some rather odd rear wheels/tyres if my eyes do not fail me .
They look like either semi-pneumatic or solid rubber to me.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Thanks for your replies, Sean and Bill.
Bill, I think also that the rear wheels of the Lancia truck are of solid rubber type. This would indicate that the truck is a Lancia Ro, not the Lancia 3Ro, I think.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hola Sturm:
Regarding the Lancia, it may be a "transition" model.
The wheels/tyres look like an Ro but the cab and engine hood look like a 3Ro. Just some thoughts.

Indie:
Another shot of what may be the same vehicle. An Opel 1 tonner with a sort of Kubel/Personnel Transport body in use by the Luftwaffe. Also seen as a Police vehicle.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hola Sturm:
I may be totally wrong here, there is not much of the trucks to see on your three photo question.
I believe the box body truck is a Krupp based on the wheel arch style and the wheels which are not so deep.
I believe the second photo may be a Henschel 33 and again I am focusing on the rear wheels which seem to have the deeper design typical of the Henschel.
I must thank you for the third photo of the Krupp, I have never seen that body before on this vehicle.
The cammo is more typical of the RW era or immediate pre war era before the shooting actually started.
I cannot tell you if it has a specific kfz number but there are others on the Forum much more informed than I am on earlier German vehicles so maybe they have a better answer.
Saludos

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hej Henning:
I can only answer your question in a general way.
According to my years of research, all three organizations used a wide range of similar vehicles.
When it concerns "Personnel Transport" vehicles, the Police used such cars and trucks, including very large trucks, for what we call in American English "Raid" vehicles and in today's language, "Rapid Response Vehicles" which allowed them to move a lot of Police quickly to the scene of a riot or other type of problem area. According to what I have read over the years, these vehicles were later used for a more dark purpose, and here the term "Raid" can be used, where they were used to saturate an area of a city or town with Police to round up various groups of individuals for forced labour or even worse.
The Fire Service used the same vehicles in much the same way, to move a lot of Fire Service personnel quickly to the scene of a fire or other disaster. The vehicles appear to me to be fairly similar to the Police vehicles of this type.
The same can be said for the Luftwaffe Fire Service, which as I can understand it, was an organization completely separate from the Civilian Fire Service. It seems they used more of the smaller "Personnel Transport Vehicles" rather than those that could carry 20-40 men. They also used such vehicles to transport aircraft crews to their planes and to move maintenance personnel around the various air bases.
I hope this helps.

Isn't it an Opel Blitz?
Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Sturm 78, hi Bill,
after a week of vacation on the Baltic sea I´m back and want to tell You what I think about the three trucks. I think that they are all Krupp trucks, also the second truck, look at the bumper, and the spare wheel is in front of the rear axles.
The third truck is really interesting. I´ve found a pic of such a truck in the booklet of Waffen-Arsenal "Krupp-Kraftwagen im Kriege". The truck belongs to the Nebelwerfertruppe, I´m sorry I cannot translate this word, but it has to do with the rocket launchers.
Greetings
Bert
